Christ is the head of the church!  The early apostles set apart a plurality of elders to shepherd (pastor) each local congregation.  Deacons were set apart so as to serve.  And evangelists (ministers) were in the churches to help promote the spiritual growth.  The Whistleville congregation is currently blessed to have three elders, two deacons, and one minister.  We are an independent congregation.  We are not ruled by a conference, diocese, synod, convention, etc.
